Are these wall panels waterproof?
SPC Wall Panels are 100% waterproof — the stone-polymer composite (limestone + PVC) core is impervious to water and works in bathrooms, kitchens, steam rooms, and commercial splash zones. Bamboo Wall Panels are not waterproof — they are real bamboo with a UV topcoat and will expand with sustained humidity. Bamboo is best in dry living rooms, bedrooms, and offices.
What's the fire rating?
SPC: Class A / Euro Class B-s1, d0 — the highest fire rating in our catalog, accepted in most commercial and multi-family applications. Bamboo: Class C standard (Class B optional on request for code-restricted installs). Full test reports available — call +1 (202) 970-3444 for spec sheets.
How are these panels installed?
SPC panels install via peel-and-stick adhesive backing or click-lock system depending on the variant — the fastest install of any panel we carry, typically 30 minutes per panel on a prepped wall. Bamboo panels install with construction adhesive directly to drywall — about 45 minutes per panel. Neither requires specialty tools. Both can be cut with a fine-tooth handsaw or jigsaw.
What dimensions and finishes are available?
SPC: Six finishes — Madrid, London, Roma (marble looks), Prag, Tokyo, Berlin (stone and concrete looks). Flat 0.16" (4mm) finish. Bamboo: Four finishes — Vintage Wood, Dark Walnut, Warm Oak, Classic Timber. 0.47" (12mm) thickness with vertical reed profile. Both ship in standard wall-height panels with matching trims sold separately.
Where should I use each panel?
SPC excels in wet or high-humidity rooms: bathrooms, kitchens, mudrooms, laundry rooms, commercial restrooms, restaurant splash zones. Also works in dry rooms for a modern stone/marble look. Bamboo excels in warm dry interiors: living rooms, bedrooms, home offices, hospitality lobbies, eco-conscious builds. Can these panels go over existing tile, plaster, or drywall?
Yes for all three. SPC bonds to clean tile, drywall, or plaster with the right adhesive prep (degrease tile, prime plaster). Bamboo requires a flat smooth surface — drywall is ideal, tile and plaster need a primer coat first. Walls should be plumb within 1/8" over 8 feet; bowed or uneven walls need shimming before installation. Call us for surface-specific guidance.
