Panel sizes

Sizes vary by product type and selected finish. Acoustic panels include tall slat formats; SPC and bamboo panels use large wall panel formats. Exact size details should be confirmed on the selected variant before ordering.

Acoustic, SPC, and bamboo collections each include their own finish family. Choose the color or surface option from the product selector.

Questions before you order

What's the NRC rating of TrioPanels acoustic slat panels?

Our acoustic slat wall panels achieve NRC 0.45 (Noise Reduction Coefficient), meaning they absorb roughly 45% of mid-to-high frequency sound that hits the surface. This makes them effective for rooms with hard floors, large windows, or open-plan layouts where echo is a problem — home offices, podcast studios, TV walls, conference rooms, and restaurants. The slats are bonded to a black polyester acoustic felt backing that traps sound waves between the wood fingers.

Are TrioPanels acoustic slat panels fire-rated?

Yes. Our standard MDF-backed acoustic slat panels carry a Class B / Euro Class E fire rating, suitable for most residential and commercial wall applications. For installations subject to stricter building codes (multi-family hospitality, healthcare, certain commercial occupancies), call +1 (202) 970-3444 — we can provide the full fire test report and discuss Class A alternatives if required.

How thick are the slats — Standard 0.39" vs Premium 0.63"?

Standard 0.39" (10mm) slats give a clean modern profile and the most economical option per square foot. Premium 0.63" (16mm) slats add deeper shadow lines, roughly 15% better acoustic absorption due to the additional slat depth, and a more substantial three-dimensional feel — preferred for feature walls and high-end installations. Both share the same felt backing and overall panel dimensions; only the slat profile depth differs.

Can I install acoustic slat panels in a bathroom or kitchen splashback?

No — the MDF substrate behind the slats is not water-resistant and will swell with prolonged moisture exposure. For wet areas (bathrooms, steam rooms, kitchen splashbacks, laundry rooms), choose our SPC Wall Panels which are 100% waterproof with a stone-polymer composite core. Acoustic slat panels are best suited for dry rooms: living rooms, bedrooms, offices, restaurants, and commercial interiors. Read our full Acoustic vs SPC vs Bamboo comparison →

How long does it take to install one acoustic slat panel?

A standard 4ft × 9ft (23.6" × 106.3") panel installs in about 1 hour per panel with two people — no specialty tools required. Two install methods: (1) screw through the felt backing directly into drywall studs (most common, fully removable), or (2) apply heavy-duty construction adhesive for a cleaner finish on walls without exposed studs. Matching trim and corner pieces are sold separately. Pre-cutting panels to fit outlets and switches takes ~10 minutes per opening.

What dimensions and finishes are available?

Six finishes — Sonomo (light oak), Black, Anthracite (dark grey), Teak (warm brown), Walnut (rich dark brown), and Grey Oak (cool grey-brown). Two widths — 23.6" x 106.3" (60cm × 270cm, ~17 sqft per panel) and 13.8" x 106.3" (35cm × 270cm, ~10 sqft, available in Premium thickness only). All finishes are real wood veneer with a UV-cured matte topcoat.
